Welcome to my website! After months and months of the most broken website, I finally present you…. a somewhat working one! My name is Tatiana Bodnar and I am a first year PhD in Human Geography exploring small-scale and local urban regeneration project in South Wales. After moving to Swansea, Wales in September, I’ve been wanting to document all the small-scale urban regeneration in my blog, Swanning Around.

In the British vernacular, the term ‘swanning’ means:

“to wander aimlessly or idly”

And this is just what I intend to do with this blog – often, while walking around the city, I have so many ideas about small essays and blog pieces I could right about. As one of my New Year’s Resolutions is to write consistently, what better way than publishing my thoughts for my friends, family, and even perhaps my enemies?!?
